About DTRP

Mud racing in Lancaster?  That's right.  The great people over at Dunn-Tire Raceway Park formally known as Lancaster Speedway, has opened their doors, put on their boots, and welcomed in the sport of mud racing.

We will offer many more events than just mud racing.  For the 2009 season we will offer such sports as:

  •        Mud Bogs- Two 150 foot long by 17 foot wide pits full to the top with mud.  One easy, one hard.  These pits will start off easy and gradually get deeper to test the limits of the challenging vehicle.

  •        Side by side drags- two identical  drag lanes constructed of a loose mixture of dirt and clay.  These lanes will be equipped with a timing system and lighting tree.
  • COMING SOON, UNDER CONDTRUCTION

  •        Rock Crawling Garden- A large pile of boulders that have been specially placed in order to accomplish a very tough course up and over the pile.  This event requires extensive maneuvering and skill.

  •        Log pit- A mud hole that is lined with logs perpendicular to the direction of traffic in the path for an added obstacle.

  •        Obstacle Course- a course through the wooded area of the track loaded with all kinds of obstacles including small steep hills, small mud holes, logs and other surprises for the driver to overpass competing for the best time start to finish.

And more......

For every event there will be a large selection of food, beverage,  beer, and restrooms.  Most of the above events will be running simultaneously as to provide a large variety of options for spectators to observe.  There will not be an empty seat in the house!  Walking from event to event will be encouraged.  Hope to see you there.
