Rock Crawl Rules


 New for 2009
Aussie Locker Rock Garden

Helmets are a must for all classes.  Skull helmets are acceptable.
 

All Rules and criteria for each class closely resembles that of UROC, NEUROC or WE-ROCK competitions and Rausch Creek rules as to maintain consistency  with drivers, their rigs and competitions.

 

Class 1 Street Stock  
  • -33" or smaller tire DOT approved
  • -Suspension must be of a type as used by factory for that vehicle (no air shocks, air bag or coil over suspension unless factory).
  • No altered wheelbase more than 3 inches.
  • No ram or hydro assisted steering.
  • All Front axles must be factory axles for that vehicle
  • The following REAR axle's upgrades are allowed: 8.8, Dana 44, Toyota, Dana35, AMC 20, Chrysler 8.25, Ford 9", Chevy 12 bolt. Any other must be factory.
  • No rear steer.
  • Any vehicle with 2 lockers may not compete UNLESS one locker can be disconnected manually and not used.
  • Any soft top or modified top vehicle must have functional roll cage.
  • All windshields must remain in stock location and mounted safely, if no windshield is available, a cage must be added for driver and passenger safety.
  • If doors are removed a roll bar/cage must cover the driver's compartment area.
  • Must have tow point front and rear.
  • Body cannot be modified for tire clearance, 1" trimming allowed.
  • Front and rear of vehicle must have lights or stickers that resemble lights.
  • Front clip/grill must be in stock location.
  • Frame of vehicle must have the same dimensions as factory. No frame modifications allowed for a competitive advantage.


Class 2 Super Stock  

  • 34-37" tires DOT approved
  • Suspension must be of a type as used by factory (no air shocks, air bag or coil over suspension unless factory).
  • Ram or Hydro assist steering allowed (no full hydro).
  • No rear steer.
  • Aftermarket axle shafts allowed.
  • ONE locker MANDATORY front or rear. TWO lockers allowed.
  • All windshields must remain in stock location and mounted safely, if no windshield is available, a cage must be added for driver and passenger safety.
  • Doors optional. If doors are removed a roll bar/cage must cover the driver's compartment area.
  • Winch optional. Tow points: must have 1 tow point front and rear.
  • Minor body trimming, bobbed beds, and comp cuts allowed. No dove tailing.
  • Low-range kits allowed.
  • Frame of vehicle must have the same dimensions as factory. No frame modifications allowed for a competitive advantage.  This area subject to tech approval.
  • Front and rear of vehicle must have lights or stickers that resemble lights.
  • Front clip/grill must be in stock location.

 

Class 3   Modified Stock

  • 37" or larger tires.
  • Long arm/spring over allowed.
  • All axle assemblies allowed that are of automotive design (no tractor axles, portals, etc., unless factory).
  • Comp cut, body trimming, and dovetailing allowed.
  • All transfer cases/kits allowed.
  • No rear steer.
  • Seats must have 4-point harness.
  • Driver compartment area forward must be intact (frame, firewall) and resemble the original vehicle in some way, shape or form but rear of truck can be tubed out. Must have use of full factory frame.
    Front and rear burn/dig allowed.
  • No independent wheel manipulation.
  • Full roll cage in all rigs (even in SUV type trucks I.E. XJ or Full size Bronco). Full roll cage and must be tied into frame.

  

Class 4 Unlimited 

  • Comp vehicles (custom frame or tube chassis) and full moon buggies
  • Seats must have at least 4-point harness and must be safe for the driver to use.
  • No independent wheel manipulation.
  • Full roll cage in all rigs (even in SUV type trucks I.E. XJ or Full size Bronco), must be tied into frame.
